Detailed Itinerary

 

 

Day 1: Welcome to Siem Reap

 

  • Impress Travel team will welcome you in the Siem Reap Airport, then transfer to the hotel in town.
  • In the late afternoon, we will take a city tour and visit the Old Market.
  • Discover Siem Reap at night and have dinner by yourself
  • Overnight in Siem Reap

Day 2: Angkor Tours: Visiting Angkor Thom, Angkor Wat

Visiting Angkor Thom Angkor Wat

  • Breakfast, then transfer for a visiting South Gate of Angkor Thom, with its majestic doors, a monumental temple of Bayon facing the tropical forest and Baphuon and Phimeanakas Mountains. 
  • Later, visit the Elephant Terrace, Terrace of the Leper King and Takeo "Jewel of Crystal", which is dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva and was erected at the end of the 10th century. You won’t miss Ta Prohm Temple, which is a wonderful combination of human genius and natural beauty with its giant trees that have grown there for centuries.
  • Return to town for lunch at Tonle Sap restaurant.
  • Visit Angkor Wat, the UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was constructed by Suryavarman II who reigned Cambodia from 1113 to 1152 and built the five towers in the 12th century and dedicated them to the Hindu God Vishnu.
  • Overnight in Siem Real

Day 3: Siem Reap – Phnom Penh

 

  • Siem Reap museumAfter breakfast, you will depart for Phom Penh via private car. This city was once considered one of the most beautiful in the Orient and despite its recent turbulent history it still retains a colonial charm.
  • The journey offers an excellent opportunity to observe Cambodian rural life up-close. Stop along the way and visit a market, where every assortment of street food is available, including the Khmer favourite: deep-fried spiders, where we will offer you a complimentary spider snack! Once we arrive in Phnom Penh you will check in have some time for refreshments.
  • The rest of the afternoon will be filled with visits to the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and the notorious ‘Killing Fields’ of Choeung Ek. A visit to these sights provides deep insight into the painful bloody rule of the Khmer Rouge.
  • Roundup this busy day with a visit to the Russian Market – a good place for bargain hunting and a good spot to observe Cambodia daily life.

Day 4: Phnom Penh – Chau Doc

 

  • After breakfast, enjoy the morning visiting the Royal Palace which now is home to the royal family, around 10 am check out and board the speed boat trip along Mekong River to Vietnam. Visa formalities may take up to 45 minutes at the border.
  • Continue by river to Chau Doc, where you will meet up with our guide and you will be taken to the hotel.
  • Later in the afternoon, time permitting, feel free to take some time and explore the area surrounding the hotel.

Day 5: Chau Doc – Mekong Delta Tour – Saigon

  • Leave the hotel early in the morning crossing Mekong Delta to Cai Be along the way the group will see the Mekong Delta (Nine Dragon River Delta). This is a special experience on the Mekong Delta. Visit a candy factory, orchard garden, listen to the traditional music of South Vietnam and have lunch in an ancient house.
  • After lunch, cross over to an island on the Mekong River by rowboat and learn more about the life of local people along this magical river.
  • Return to Saigon late in the afternoon.

Day 6: Saigon City Tour & Cu Chi tunnels

  • Have lunch and relaxing
  • Transfer to visit Cu Chi tunnels - The tunnels of Cu Chi are an immense network of connecting underground tunnels located in the Củ Chi district of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and are part of a much larger network of tunnels that underlie much of the country.

Day 7: Saigon flight to Danang, transfer to Hoian

Hoi An ancient town

  • After breakfast, check out hotel, then transfer to Tan San Nhat airport for flight to Da Nang
  • Danang on arrival, then transfer to Hoi An town for lunch and a walking tour to explore Hoi An following visiting famous places: Hoi An Museum, Old Merchants' House, Assembly Hall and the Japanese Covered Bridge. Walk along the bank of the lively Thu Bon River, once prosperous and famous as a one of the world’s famous trading port.
  • Overnight in Hoi An

Day 12: Hanoi – Halong Bay Cruise

 

  • Halong Bay view8h00: Pick up from Hotel in Hanoi, then departure to Halong Bay
  • 12h00: Arrive at Tuan Chau wharf
  • 12h30: Board Cruises for departure. Welcome drink will be served
  • 13h00: Lunch is served while cruising through the bay
  • 15h30: Visit exciting Cua Van fishing village. The village is free of busy roads and streets, electric lights, houses and high rise buildings. Instead, there are only herds of little boats and rafts. You will have the chance to discover the traditional culture and customs of the fishermen.
  • 16h30: Enjoy kayaking or swimming (if the weather permits).
  • 17h00: Back on board and continue cruising to Drum Cave (Hang Trong) to dock.
  • 19h00: Dinner is served.
  • 21h00: Take some leisure time to enjoy chatting at the bar or enjoy some night fishing. Relax and spend a romantic night on Cruise

Day 13: Halong Bay Cruise – Hanoi

 

  • 07.00: Coffee and tea will be served
  • 08.00: Continue cruising

  • 09h00: Check out and enjoy a fantastic cruise on the bay, passing Dinh Huong Island, fishing villages, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island and Sail Island.
  • 09.30: Buffet brunch (breakfast/lunch) while cruising back through Halong Bay to the pier
  • 11h30: Arrive at the pier. Time to say goodbye to the crew.
  • 17h:00 Return To Hanoi or transfer to Noi Bai airport for next destination or flight back home

Day 14: Hanoi - Flight to VIENTIANE (B)

 

  • Transfer from your hotel into Chiang Mai Airport for your flight to Vientiane.
  • Arrival at Wattay international airport then transfers with our guide to your hotel for checking in.
  • After a short rest, join us for welcome dinner at a local restaurant where you will enjoy your welcome dinner with delicious Laotian food and special traditional music and dancing show.
  • Lunch on your own. Overnight at your hotel.

 

You will be transferred to the Hanoi Capital airport via your schedule flight back home or continues your journey to visit other cities in Vietnam.

DAY 15: VIENTIANE - CITY TOUR - VANG VIENG (B/L)

 

  • Monk in LaosAfter breakfast at the hotel, we start our city tour by visiting the Talat Sao Market.  Then continue to visit the oldest Wat Sisaket which houses thousands of tiny Buddha images and row after row of seated Buddhas. Our next destination is Haw Phra Kaew, the royal temple that once enshrined the Emerald Buddha. Today it is a museum where there resides a tremendous collection of religious art. We will end the day at the svelte and golden Pha That Luang, the most important national monument in Laos - a symbol of Buddhist religion and Lao sovereignty. The stupa of this temple is 40m high and covered with gold that can be seen from kilometres away.
  • After that, we depart for Vang Vieng - a riverside town located in Central Laos. Surrounded by the karst landscape, Vang Vieng overflows many interesting activities like caving and tubing down the river.
  • After a short rest, we transfer by boat down the poetic Nam Song River providing amazing scenery of karst rock. This is also a popular tourist destination with the landscape of authentic Lao countryside. Following an exploration of the river, we will transfer to your hotel by private vehicle for checking in.
  • Lunch in a local restaurant. Dinner on your own. Overnight in hotel.

 

 

DAY 16: VANG VIENG – LUANG PRABANG (B/L)

 

  • A corner of Vang ViengAfter breakfast at the hotel, we spend time visiting the local market and discover Tham Chang Cave - one of the most important sites in Vang Vieng. Located on the Southern side of Vang Vieng, Tham Chang Cave used to be home for migrating people due to its ideal climate. From here, visitors can see the amazing view of the villages and rice fields. Then visit Ban Huai Ngai village.
  • We then depart for Luang Prabang with an opportunity to enjoy the magnificent scenery of the road between Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang. You can see the mountain contrasted with the plains and rice fields. We reach World Heritage of UNESCO, Luang Prabang in the late afternoon. Luang Prabang is the former royal capital of Laos and considered by Lao people to be a national treasure.
  • Lunch in a local restaurant. Dinner on your own. Overnight in hotel.

 

 

DAY 17: LUANG PRABANG - ELEPHANT VILLAGE - KUANG SI WATERFALL (B/L)

 

  • Kuang Si waterfall in LaosAn optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning alms-giving ritual to saffron-clad monks. This tradition is unique to Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving this procession. Enjoy your UNESCO morning walk to understand the insight of this charming town then stop and visit the fresh local market and back to the hotel for breakfast.
  • After breakfast at the hotel, our guide and driver will meet and escort for a 30min drive south of Luang Prabang to the elephant village. Here, you will visit the elephants and then go for a hike (25 mins, one person per elephant, howdah free).
  • In the afternoon, travelling outskirt of Luang Prabang, driving through green rice paddies and farms. Stop for visit few villages of H’mong and Lao Loum people, your guide can introduce you to local people and its great opportunity for you to involving with their daily activities such as wooden cotton spinning, weaving, rice harvesting and green vegetable farms.
  • On your arrival at the Kuang Si falls, enjoy main waterfalls with spectacular views and surrounding of orchids inside the park and falls cascade over many calcified tiers and down several hundred feet into a series of cool, turquoise pools where you can cool off with a swim. End of your day, transfer back to Luang Prabang.
  • Lunch in a local restaurant. Dinner on your own. Overnight in hotel.

 

 

DAY 18: LUANG PRABANG - CITY TOUR - NONG KHIEW (B/L) 

 

  • Wat Phra KaewThis morning, transfer to the Phousi market. This market is infinitely populous and hectic with several edible products and local goods. By visiting it, you will have the opportunity to observe the activity of buying and selling of local people. These activities happen simply and quickly in an Asian style.
  • Then visit Wat Xieng Thong further emphasizes the uniqueness of Luang Prabang, its several roofs sweeping low to the ground. See also the impressive "tree of life" mosaic here. The gilt panel on the exterior of the chapel depicts semi-erotic episodes from the Ramayana.
  • Then visit the National Museum, explore the city’s fascinating array of shimmering temples and French colonial buildings.
  • Then drive to Nong Khiew. Stop to visit Ban Nayang village and Nam park market. Arrival in Nong Khiew and check in your hotel.
  • Lunch in a local restaurant. Dinner on your own. Overnight in hotel.

 

 

DAY 19: NONG KHIEW - PAK OU CAVE- LUANG PRABANG (B/L) 

Pak Ou Cave

  • After breakfast, drive from Nong Khiew to Luang Prabang. Visit Pak Ou caves at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Ou Rivers. In these 2 caves are displayed hundreds of sacred centuries-old Buddha images which are the object of pilgrimages during the Lao New Year festivities around mid-April. Then ferry back to mainland and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant located in front of Pak Ou cave.
  • After that, heading to Luang Prabang and stop at Ban Xang Khong, a weaving village, where you can jump into wooden looms with local expert for practical and experience. Transfer back from Ban Xang Khong to your hotel for resting.
  • Dinner on your own. Overnight in hotel.

 

DAY 20: LUANG PRABANG – Departure

 

After breakfast, free time until transfer with our guide to the airport for your departure flight.
