Cham Island (Vietnamese name “ Cù Lao Chàm”), is located in the east sea, 18 km offshore from Hoi An. Cham Island is very famous for its sandy deserted beaches & the underwater world of sea organisms & colorful corals on the seabed.

This relatively small Island of Quang Nam, Vietnam, has 3000 inhabitants who mostly live off the fishing trade... The community has a school, hospital & government committee, that belongs to Tien Hiep Commune, Hoi An Ancient Town, Quang Nam Province.

Travelers take a 1.4-hour cruise to reach the island or travel by speedboat or junk. There are a lot of Vietnamese tourists & international tourists coming to this still pristine Island, to relax or do scuba diving & snorkeling. Coming here tourists can enjoy the fresh seafood & stay on sandy beaches. Stay overnight in bungalows, and enjoy the Sunset & Sunrise whilst watching the fishing boats going out at night and returning in the morning. Cham Islands, an offshore island of Hoi An City has just been recognized as the World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.
